Explicit non-chat functionality for changing and adding workouts

I said it in another post that I don’t like chat for managing my plan. Bending it to my will is… annoying so here’s 3 things I’d love.

Now that the calendar has those lovely 3 dots for blocking off days it would be nice if there were also options: “Add Ride”, “Add Run”, “Add Swim”. This would provide a dialog allowing availability to be adhered to, or override it. It would then come up with a workout that best fits the plan - not having to specify endurance, vo2max, etc would be ideal. There are days in my calendar where it’s empty but I still want to do something.

It would also be nice if there were also the ability to change the modality of existing workouts. For example the last two days have been good weather wise here - but with lots of snow still on the ground I can’t cycle. I wanted to run instead. This could mean automatically swapping workouts, or skipping and adding a new one.

And finally changing the duration of a workout. Life happens sometimes and so I can only do a short workout. I’d love have an explicit feature to allow me to do that.

Essentially, better non-chat based calendar control so I don’t have to think of the AI prompts to try to bend it to my will.

Makes sense, the “…” is defintely meant as real-estate for future extensions, including workout creation. Just launched Override your weekly availability for specific weeks

What about the following: once you click on “…”, there is an option “Edit workouts on day” which opens up an input field where you can input prompts such as

  • Add Ride/Run/Swim/Strength
  • Switch Ride for Run
  • Shorten/Lenghten todays workout

+ a further option:

  • ‘Be creative: come up with something that most fits my current needs’ (takes into account plan compliance, recovery model, availability etc)

Only if the prompt I put in doesn’t have to be massaged to result in something usable. :stuck_out_tongue: Honestly part of the reason I didn’t want an input field is because I would expect you would be better at perhaps constructing the most ideal prompt underneath as an implementation detail.

Me mumbling further… maybe that’s really the thing…

AI Endurance provided prompt templates/patterns for the most common scenarios and situations. Ones vetted to provide the best/expected result (well - unless the LLM decides otherwise).

Maybe what makes the most sense is a UI for the most common use cases: shorten/lengthen, create workouts, ‘Be creative: …’, … (so we’d create the prompts underneath that) and then an optional input field where you can also enter a prompt

Yeah, that’d be super.

I’ve been using athletica.ai for the past 4 weeks. They have something called a workout wizard which can modify the workout on a particular day. You can decrease workout intensity, change to a different sport or change a workout type (from endurance to tempo etc.). This is one of the best features I found on athletica.ai however, I didn’t continue with the app because I didn’t find it as user friendly as I expected it to be.

@Parimal_Bhatt I too found that one of the best features of Athletica when I was testing it, but didn’t continue due to it not being that user friendly, workout exporting/importing problems, and being so very very repetitive.

@Parimal_Bhatt we’ll have something ‘non-chat’ to make most or all of those modifications soon. In the meantime you can totally use the chat for this, it can do any of those things
