It would be interesting to introduce a feature that allows runners to adapt their workout plan to current weather conditions. Before starting a run, the user could simply tap a button, and the AI would retrieve the local weather data (especially temperature and humidity) and automatically adjust the workout accordingly. This could include changes to pace targets, intensity, duration, or effort zones, helping the athlete maintain the intended training load while accounting for environmental conditions.
That’s a great idea and I think totally doable. We could forward to the chat after clicking that button with a prompt that fetches weather info, pulls planned workout and suggest changes if weather conditions imply tough conditions.
A couple of things to nail down would be:
- the time of day matters: chat would probably have to confirm with athlete what time of day they’re planning to do the workout first
- do we show the button for every run? might be a bit cluttering/confusing if we show the button even if weather conditions don’t require a change
Live now, both in dashboard for Next Workout and in Calendar for Runs that are planned today
You’re awesome! I wasn’t sure whether this feature is already available or if it will be released soon. I’m asking because I haven’t seen any new button or option in the app—unless I’ve simply missed it. Thanks! ![]()
