When the system is generating predictions, it appears to not know about the course. Though some ‘templates’ exist for ‘hilly’ IM, these templates don’t apply when creating custom events like duathlons or single-sport only events while using a multi-sport profile.
I would like to be able to (in order of preference?)
- Select a previous years event to use as a base for this year from a list of ‘races’, activities I marked as races, in AI Endurance.
- Upload a GPX file. Either one I have from a past years event, one I download from GarminConnect’s ‘public course’ list, or created myself.
- A net gain/loss description (checkbox such as ‘net-negative’ or ‘hilly’ or ‘uphill finish’), or ‘total gain’ or ‘total descent’ boxes to fill in
I can imagine some events might have a gain/loss image with the elevation profile but without a GPX file, such as Paris→Ancaster. eg:
If GPX is used, it would be nice if it could take seasonal weather (temperature, humidity, etc.) into account when generating the plan.
