You can now use the GPX file of your race course in two places.
-
In the chat: attach a GPX file and ask about pacing, fueling or how to approach the course. AI Endurance reads the file for you and gives the chat a compact summary: total distance, elevation gain and loss, every major climb and descent with its position, length and gradient, how much of the course is flat, uphill or downhill, laps and aid stations. The chat then answers with your own numbers (power, pace, zones).
-
On your goal events: when you add or update an A, B or C race event, you can attach the race course (for triathlons one bike and one run course). You see a summary of the course right away, including an estimated finish time at your current fitness. Lap courses are detected automatically, for example one lap of a two lap 70.3 bike course counts as 90 km, and you can set the number of laps yourself.
What the course changes in your training plan:
- The planning agent sees your course and shapes key sessions and long sessions toward it, for example climbs of similar length and gradient, or downhill running for a descent heavy run course. Your A event matters most; a B or C course only shapes the weeks just before that event.
- Strength sessions focus on what the course demands, for example eccentric quad work for downhill heavy runs or single leg strength for long climbs.
- When you request a plan, we check whether your availability leaves room for the long sessions the course needs. If your longest available day is too short, you get a warning before the plan is built. Nothing is changed automatically.
- For Ultra Endurance events, the estimated finish time can be used as your expected duration with one click.
Where to get the file: Komoot, Strava, RideWithGPS, Garmin Connect and most race websites let you export a course as GPX. For now only GPX is supported (no FIT or TCX course files). You can attach a course to any goal, including FTP, CP or Critical Speed goals, so if you are optimising a metric for a specific race, attach that race’s course.
Let us know how it works for you. If a summary or estimate looks off for your course, please post it here, that helps us improve it.
