Is there a way to properly synchronize mobility and strength training workouts with my Garmin 955?
Let me explain: the workout appears on the watch, but the different phases are displayed only as text descriptions. They are not shown as properly structured intervals with repetitions, work periods, and recovery times that I can follow directly on the watch while performing the workout.
Hi Giovanni, thanks for the feedback. So far we have decided to not âproperly structureâ strength workouts for Garmin or any other connected app. It would be difficult to make this work since the LLM (Gemini in this case) creates the workout as text and converting that into a data structure is often ambiguous and leads to many edge cases and errors. And I think the benefit to you would be marginal over simply reading/executing the workout from text
Biggest issue I have with the app being pressed is the workout is so long that you canât read the whole thing and I need to use my phone.
And after pressing âlapâ it finishes the workout.
And many of the exercises are not in Garmins database.
There is another issue with Garmin, if you have tried making workouts, youâll notice that itâs only possible to select workouts from Garminâs library, which isnât very extensive and is missing a lot of exercises. Itâs also not possible to add custom workouts.
Until yesterday, I was able to create workout sessions normally using the exercises available in the Garmin library. Starting today, however, whenever I try to create one, I receive a message saying that my device is not compatible.
I havenât changed anything at all: Iâm using the same device, the same app, and none of the settings have been modified. As a result, I can no longer create custom strength workout sessions, even though everything was working perfectly until yesterday.
Have you contacted Garmin support?
Yes, but I still havenât received a reply from them.
ok, thatâs unfortunate. You can still read the workout instructions from the phone though, sorry canât be of more help than that
