Lack of RPE in Training

This is kind of a ponderance. Other solutions use a user provided RPE as a factor in understanding how training went - which can then influence future workouts. AI Endurance doesn’t do this. Is there a particular reason why?

No particular reason other than we have other analytics after the workout is completed + check in. But something to keep in mind for future I agree.

I very diligently used the check-in feature for a month+, but it became annoying that what I was providing would be misinterpreted as having a ‘negative sentiment’ when I hadn’t intended it to be, so I stopped using the feature.

If the fit file has the garmin 1-10 RPE + ‘sad face - happy face’ ‘how strong did you feel’, I diligently fill those in. As the tech bro CEOs say going back to the website is ‘friction’ while doing it on my watch immediately after is ‘frictionless’.

Of course, Garmins 1-10 scale has a different description compared to what I normally would put for down. eg: moderate is ‘3’, though intuitively I would think of moderate as ‘5’ and getting ‘clean’ data from that may be difficult. And the inclusion of RPE in the FIT may be vendor specific.

The checkin can also be useful if you don’t enter any text, just do the soreness.

Frictionless is the way to go for sure!
