No Lap function when AI creates training

Hi,

Seems to be a difference between plan generation and chat generation for a training with repeat steps.

When a training is made by the plan generation, we have the function "push lap button” to pass on the next repeat.

When the training is made by the chat, all the repeat are set by the time without the lap button function.

Confirm that’s a bug will fix right away today

Fix just got deployed. From now on workouts exported to Garmin that were created via the Chat should respect the lap button setting. Thanks for reporting @Benjamin_NICOLLE !

make sure to hit ‘refresh exports’ on apps page first

Hurmf….

The lap function has not worked today. After the rest, it switches automatically to the next rep without wait the function :frowning:

I ask the prompt yesterday to recreate the training and make the sync on the apps page.

Regarding

It could make it automatically or cron ?

Is the sync could be done automatically after the discussion with the prompt if changes are made or replan ?

You have to hit the ‘Refresh Export’ Button once:

Just to make your workouts exported properly that had already been exported before we fixed the bug. Then you never have to do that again and all newly exported workouts will replace the lap button setting

Yes Markus, i’ve made it. But the training was without lap function.

My second question is regarding the ability to cron this function or to launch automatically when a modification is done on the planning by the chat or the plan.

Maybe the old workout had already synced to your watch so even though Garmin Connect was up to date the watches workouts were outdated? In any case, I’ve manually run update on your account so workouts on Garmin Connect should be up to date and use the correct lap button setting.

Please make sure watch syncs with Garmin Connect before next workout and let me know if it’s still not working correctly.

No need for cron anything, everything is automatically kept up to date with all the third party platforms, whenever you make any changes to your plan. The ‘Refresh Exports’ button is a fallback solution

Understood .
I keep an eye in the future for modified trainings in the future.

Hi Markus,

Always the problem.
Take a look on my running training this morning. No lap function on rest :frowning: even if I ask to create it after your improvement.

Hi Benjamin,

Thanks for reporting this.

I found the issue: The lap button setting was only being applied to steps with intensity type “RECOVERY”, but workouts created by the AI agent sometimes use a different intensity type called “REST” for the rest periods. So the lap button preference was being ignored for those steps.

I’ve fixed it so that both REST and RECOVERY steps now respect your lap button setting. Your workouts should automatically update on your next sync, or you can hit “Refresh Export” on the apps page to force it.
