Chat recording and no new chat

Hi,

Like a classic “chat”, is it possible to keep the link for all exchanges. The chat cans record and uses the past discussion instead of bringing a new clear chat.
Per example, if you do some changes, replan on the week, FTP evolution etc ; and you click chat button, it starts a new one and you lost the link.
Several solutions :

  • keep the same chat (or limit the history to x days)
  • keep the same chat per day ?
  • keep the same chat and add a button for new one without discussion history ?

Opened to discuss on this topic. But, for me, it is a must-have function when you use the chat to reorganize your training due to weather, availability, special exercices with your triclub etc.

@Benjamin_NICOLLE do you mean the history side tab? You can continue discussion with any past chat at any point with that

I have recently had a ‘conversation’ with the Chat about this.

The main point from this was that each chat is completely independent, with no reference back to previous Chats. But it did also identify the principle of “The Agreement” which is defined as follows:

The “agreement” process is essentially how we turn a conversation into a permanent rule for your training. Since my memory of our specific chat text is limited to the current session, we use your Training Plan Preferences as a “Master Instruction Manual.”

Here is how it works:

The Discussion: We talk about a change you want to make (e.g., “I want to do my long runs on Saturdays instead of Sundays” or “I want to focus more on trail climbing”).

The Agreement: Once we agree on that change, I (or you) add that specific instruction to your Training Plan Generation System Prompt.

The Implementation: Every time I generate or update your training plan, I am required to read those instructions first. It’s like a set of “house rules” that I cannot ignore.

Persistence: Because this information is stored in your user profile (not just the chat log), it stays there forever until you decide to change or delete it.

My own thoughts were that there should if possible be a way for the current Chat to be able to refer back to previous Chats (perhaps last 7 days) so there is some sort of context to the current conversation in light of what has previously been discussed. Rather than starting every chat afresh.

A single long Chat would not really work for me as I like to refer to specific points previously discussed.

Thanks yes some kind of memory in the chat is a much requested feature and I agree would be very valuable.

There’s a few options on how do implement it. For example the chat maintaining some kind of memory markdown file for each user or the chat being able to reference past conversations.

We are currently exploring different options on how to implement this but. It’s definitely pretty high on the list of priorities

for me history, is when the chat starts. it takes into account the previous discussions (per example, last month, last big modification, last replan due to added goal targets etc).

at this time, i keep the link of my chat and use it every times lol.
