Not really a ‘complaint’ as such. I deleted a ‘B’ race I was not going to be going to after all, and after the plan regenerated it kept the usual assortment of running workout types. However, every bike workout is now ‘endurance ride’ for June/July/August.
My ‘A’ goal is an olympic duathlon 2k run / 30k bike / 7k run, and I asked for it to optimize 10k run and critical power.
I have no problem using the bike for endurance. It just seems odd for every bike to be endurance ride?
Yes, the engine is really “safe”, you have to tell it to add intensity in the other sports in the system prompt even if you want to prioritize one of the sport. I stagnated for a few months before I realized.
The answer is as often ‘it depends’. Could be a legitimate strategy, also check your Advanced settings for ‘Prefer Endurance’. Also check if your cycling zones are maybe too high (that would result in most activities being planned as ‘Endurance’)
As far as a strategy goes of using the bike for low-impact aerobic development and using the run for high intensity stimuli to avoid picking up mileage based running injuries, no complaints here. It just has that ‘something got stuck’ quality to it.
- Prefer Endurance Workouts is set to the default of 50.
- My cycling zones are the auto-detected ones, I don’t know if they’re good or bad.
Does it feel too easy/hard when you do a threshold workout? Maybe ask for one in the chat just to test
Forgot to get back to this.
When I did threshold workouts under my previous plan they were tough but doable.
