You can now see your durability, the loss of performance after a given amount of work (in cycling kJ kilo Joule and in running kilometers) in the Data page:
- decrease in power duration curve as a function of kJ/km; we also show you your loss in CP and Endurance Power/Pace
- drift of heart rate, DFA a1, and respiration frequency as a function of kJ/km
Both together quantify your durability and while the external power duration curve efforts require a maximal effort (both fresh and fatigued) for a reliable measurement of durability, the internal efforts do not and hence let us collect much more data on your durability from regular/non-test protocol rides.
Similar to how AI Endurance detects thresholds today (combo of external CP measurements + internal DFA a1 thresholds), the combination of external and internal methods gives us a reliable snapshot of your durability at any given time and moving forward lets us optimize durability as part of your training plan options (coming soon).
